It is possible to fabricate a try-in as a single piece from tooth-coloured wax prior to milling the bases in resin. This then serves to correct the digital set-up.

The function for creating monoblock prostheses can be selected in the context menu after modification of the denture bases and teeth. After changing to the expert mode, this menu can be opened in the background with a right click.

To create the monoblock prosthesis, one selects the function „Full denture merge to monoblock“ [5]. Then the maxilla and mandible are each saved as single pieces including the teeth, and can be milled subsequently.


TipThe generated monoblock data sets are not exported, but are saved exclusively with the scenario..



Processing of monoblock dentures in the Ceramill System after patient try-in

After the try-in of monoblock dentures in the patient's mouth, a number of situations may arise where possible necessary changes need to be included in the final resin denture within the Ceramill Mind software. These can be applied by markings on the monoblock denture. The procedures for the following situations are explained subsequently:





__Situation 1 – No changes necessary following try-in

__Situation 2 – Change of gingival shape necessary

__Situation 3 – Change of tooth positions necessary

__Situation 4 – Change of tooth sets necessary

__Situation 5 – Correction of bite necessary


Starting further processing is performed via the desktop link "Ceramill Mind“ as a matter of principle.

Situation 5 – Korrektur der Bisslage notwending

Beigeänderter Bisslage werden zuvor berechnete statische Aufstellbereiche hinfällig und müssen aktualisiert werden.

__Die Modelle müssen hierfür umartikuliert worden sein

__Der Fall muss daher neu angelegt und mit geänderter Bisslage/Artikulation gescannt werden, um die dadurch geänderten statischen Aufstellbereiche neu ermitteln zu können.

__Die zuvor einprobierte Monoblockprothese kann als Aufstellhilfe in Form eines Situationsmodells dienen
