In Draw Connector, you click on the refractory model to define curves used in many other tools. You need open curves for lingual bars, clasps, and finish lines, while major connectors, meshes, and extraction sites require closed curves. With the Draw new curve [1] sub-mode selected, you simply left-click on the model to create points which are connected into a curve. Ctrl-Z is the undo button.

For closed curves, draw the last point of the curve on top of the first point of the curve while double-clicking to end the curve. If you miss the 2nd click, you can type "E" to end the curve manually.

  • Draw/Replace Segments [2] allows you to draw an additional curve and add it to the previous curve.
  • Move control points[3] allows adding or subtracting points from a curve. Click on a existing curve, then click on a control point to move it.

  • Fit Curve to Model [4] all curves drawn will contact the surface of the surface of the refractory model.
  • Do Not Fit Curve to Model [5] allows curves to traverse through space, i.e. for support bars.
